Family Goodness

Good morning! How did everyone’s 4th of July go? Did everything go as planned?

We had a lovely day. Everyone was supposed to be here by around 1:00.

That didn’t happen thanks to my minivan and a naughty alternator. My eldest son went to school to be a Diesel mechanic, and he was able to work on my van for us. However it took a bit longer than anticipated. All of our kids happened to be in town and all were recruited to help in some way on my vehicle.

They finally showed up to our place around 2:00. They all drug into the house like they had the gringalee-ging-an-the-giggyboots. Covered in grease from head to toe, they were.

No one had time to make anything to festive happen. The one family tradition we did accomplish was grilling hamburgers. They were super yummy, juicy hamburgers. (Forgot the cheese).

And maybe I had a cupcake (or two), and maybe I did not. That’s only for me and my fat rolls to know. 😉

Family gatherings can be fun as long as everyone gets along. I would like to say that I am a peacekeeper. I am not. I am one of those that feed off others’ emotions, which can get mighty intense and interesting. If I said the words that were floating around in my head half the time it would probably be volatile.

I guess God wanted to make us all individual and unique. Including different personalities.

Do you believe that some people are peaceful and others are instigators of most of the problems? All I know is that some people are good at pushing other peoples’ buttons.

Family get togethers can be fun and sometimes a bit interesting. But I sure love my family till the cows come home. (That is a long time for people that have never petted a cow or tried to ride one). 😂

Have an Amazing Day and May God Bless and Keep You!
